For a training course, a team-building exercise or a club outing, the most precious thing is often the clarity of the stay: a place where you can stay, eat, debrief, recuperate and keep the group focused. Le Lazaret is the perfect place to do just that, in a setting overlooking the sea.

A clear course

from the first briefing to the return to calm

Sports holidays work well when the team knows where it’s going: arrival clear, rooms ready, meals coordinated, room available for staff, rhythm of the day consistent with the effort. It’s this continuity that allows us to focus on training, cohesion and progress.

At Le Lazaret, the seaside and the park don’t just serve as a backdrop. They contribute to the rhythm of the course: we go out to breathe, walk, recover, get the group moving again without breaking the general organization.

  • On-site accommodation to keep the group together.
  • Meals coordinated with the sports program.
  • Rooms available for briefings, debriefings and staff time.

Depending on your discipline, you may have different expectations

The venue doesn’t replace your sports content; it gives it a solid framework. Here are the most common needs identified by the groups.

Team sports

The staff need a place to hold the group, organize discussion time, allocate rooms, manage meals and maintain a good dynamic between effort, recovery and communal life.

Endurance & preparation

For running, cycling, triathlons or refresher courses, the seaside setting and proximity to the Sétois itineraries offer real benefits in terms of concentration and aeration.

Water & outdoor sports

The stay gains in coherence when the environment of the place extends the project. In Sète, the sea and outdoor activities contribute to the group’s energy as much as to recovery time.

Cohesion weekend

Integration, cohesion, start-of-season warm-up: the most important thing is to be able to alternate structured sequences, meals, free time and evenings without having to travel too much.

Staff changes

A well-run training course is not just about the field. It also depends on the quality of the before and after: rapid installation, adapted room, clear meal times, possibility of team meetings, staff briefing, analysis or instructions.

The Lazaret makes it possible to string these moments together without friction. You can go from a session to a meal, from a meal to a meeting, then from a meeting to a quieter time, without breaking up the group or wasting time on logistics.

If your project is very short, the aim is not to do everything: it’s better to have a simple, precise and well-organized schedule than one that’s too full.

Hosting

After the effort, the room really counts. Rest, showers, personal space and continuity of stay also condition the quality of the course.

Catering

Breakfast, adapted menus, coordinated meals, full board or more flexible formulas: the organization of meals must support the program, not complicate it.

Teamwork

A useful room is one that enables the staff to communicate clearly, refocus, analyze and keep the group aligned with the objective of the stay.

Examples of programs

To help staff plan ahead, here are three regularly requested formats. They can of course be adjusted to suit the discipline, the age of the group, the time of year and the facilities available outside Le Lazaret.

2-night course
recovery & cohesion

Friday
Arrive late afternoon, settle in, scoping meeting with staff, dinner and a quiet evening.

Saturday
Breakfast, morning session 1, lunch, recovery or video time, afternoon session 2, dinner and group debriefing.

Sunday
Muscle wake-up, breakfast, short session or opposition, shower, assessment and departure.

What for?
Relaunch the group, recreate common points of reference and get everyone back into the same rhythm without unnecessarily lengthening the stay.

3-day / 2-night course
season preparation

Day 1
Group welcome, set-up, reminder of objectives, first light session or recovery tests, lunch.

Day 2
Double session depending on discipline, lunch on site, recovery time, tactical or video briefing, dinner, then return to calm.

Day 3
Workshops by level, specific work, opposition or application session, lunch, staff + group assessment and departure.

What for?
Prepare a cycle, make technical progress and add density to the content while keeping logistics simple.

Competition weekend
or displacement

Match watch
Arrival of the group, distribution of rooms, early dinner, instructions, quiet time.

D-Day
Group breakfast, departure for the sports facilities, return for lunch or recovery, end-of-day debriefing.

The day after
Light activation, group time, sports and logistics review, group departure.

What for?
Avoid dispersal, keep everyone in the same place and simplify meal times, rest periods and transmission of instructions.

Briefing room for sports groups in Sète

A typical day on site

training, recovery, debriefing

When rooms, meals and the briefing room are all on the same site, the day becomes much clearer. The transitions are shorter, the staff lose less time and the group stays more focused.

  • 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.: wake-up, light activation, breakfast
  • 9:30 am – 11:30 am: field session, water or specific work depending on discipline
  • 12:30 p.m.: lunch and quiet time
  • 2:00 – 3:30 pm: recovery, care, staff or video time
  • 4:00 – 6:00 pm: second session, technical workshops or opposition
  • 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.: dinner, hydration, group time
  • 8:30 – 9:00 p.m.: debriefing, instructions for the next day, gradual extinction

This rhythm remains flexible. Above all, it allows us to keep to a simple thread: work, eat, recover, start again, without dispersing the group.

Training courses, integration, cohesion, season preparation: the most effective format is often the one that gets straight to the point and keeps the group focused.
